Overview

Praia Inhame Eco Lodge is located at the southern tip of Sao Tome on, in our opinion, one of the island’s prettiest beaches.

Praia Inhame’s fourteen charming, rustic, chalets are a great choice for couples and families. With a variety of room sizes from studios, to larger doubles with separate lounge, and a two-bedroom family house, all have well-presented en-suite bathrooms with hot water showers, ceiling fans and verandas overlooking the ocean. The lodge is entirely self-sufficient and completely off-grid with solar panels, a wind turbine and wood chip burner providing hot water and all the electricity required. Surrounded by lush tropical rainforest, they make the most of the fertile soil and grow a range of fruit and vegetables for the restaurant.

Meals, a buffet for breakfast, and choice from a menu in the evening, are eaten in the spacious open-sided restaurant. Between the months of November and March, turtles nest on Praia Inhame’s beaches, and you can ask to be woken if they arrive during the night.

Activities

Various activities including guided walks, kayaking, surfing, snorkelling, diving and fishing trips can be booked. Don't forget your binoculars when you are going on the Malanza mangrove trip in a dugout canoe, as there will be plenty of birds to spot during this trip.
